First Year of BTech–PIO/OCI/FN/ CIWGC/NRI Students

Walchand College of Engineering also offers admissions in First Year Four Year Course to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) , Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) , Foreign Nationals (FN,) Children of Gulf Workers ( CIWGC) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates. All such eligible candidates are required to apply separately through the Institute’s website. The admission process for PIO/OCI/FN/ CIWGC/NRI candidates is based on their performance in the qualifying examination (equivalent to HSC/Std. XII) and other criteria as specified by the Institute.

Important Note:
This form is strictly for students applying under the NRI / FN / PIO / OCI category for B.Tech admissions at Walchand College of Engineering. Students who do not belong to any of the above categories are requested not to fill out this form.

Eligibility

Candidate whose name appears in the confirmation list, declared by the CET Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai for Admission to First Year of Under Graduate Technical Courses in Engineering and Technology for CIWGC, PIO/OCI/FN and NRI are only eligible to appear for admission process as per institute guideline to First Year of Under Graduate Technical Courses in Engineering and Technology under CIWGC, PIO/OCI/FN and NRI category at Walchand College of Engineering.

Seats/Capacity

Fifteen percent (15%) seats in the institution are allowed on supernumerary basis from amongst Non-Residential Indian (NRI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of Indian (OCI) / Foreign Nationals (FN) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC) over and above of the approved intake of each discipline as sanctioned by DTE, Government of Maharashtra from time to time.

The 1/3rd of the 15% sanctioned seats are reserved for CIWGC in each above discipline and 2/3rd of the 15% seats are for PIO/OCI/FN. Provided that, if seats in a course reserved for CIWGC remains vacant, then such vacant seats shall be filled in from the candidates of OCI, PIO or FN and if seats reserved for candidates of OCI, PIO or FN remains vacant then such vacant seats shall be filled from CIWGC. Provided further that, any vacant seat in the above quota may be filled from NRI category. The maximum limit for NRI type is 5% of sanctioned intake. For unaided courses, NRI seats are within intake.

Fees

  • $5000 (Tuition fee + Development fee) + Others fees per annum for FN/PIO/OCI /NRI students 
  • Fees for CIWGC shall be same as Indian Students( Non Reserve category)
