B. Kulkarni involvement in “Radionuclide Targeted Therapy with I-131 and Quality Audit of Its Activity Measurements with Radionuclide Calibrators” was presented at the Twenty-Fifth International Conference on Medical Physics.
In 2024, Dr. S. P. Sonavane co-authored the paper “Deep Kernelized Dimensionality Reducer for Multi-Modality Heterogeneous Data” with A. Shikalgar, which was published in the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, Volume 15, Issue 8, pages 3255–3272.
In 2024 Dr. Sonavane collaborated with M. S. Dabade, G. R. Shinde, and A. M. Chimanna on the paper “Automatic Bone Cancer Detection – A Comprehensive Survey”, published in Grenze International Journal of Engineering & Technology (GIJET), Volume 10, Issue 1.
In 2023, Dr. Sonavane co-authored “SARP: Secure Routing Protocol Using Anonymous Authentication in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks” with B. Yelure, published in the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, Volume 14, Issue 4, pages 3567–3581.
In 2023, Dr. Sonavane collaborated with S. B. Nemade on the work “Semantic Segmentation Using GSAUNet”, which appeared in ICT Express, Volume 9, Issue 1, pages 1–7.
In 2024, Dr. R. Rathod co-authored a research paper titled “A Deep Learning Approach for Fast Detection of COVID-19 using Lung X-ray Scans”, along with N. Gavankar, V. Waghmare, and M. Bokare. This paper was presented at the 2nd DMIHER International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
Rathod also collaborated with N. Gavankar and V. Waghmare on the paper “Estimation of Height of Building Using High Resolution Satellite Image”, presented at the International Conference on Geographical Information Systems Theory.
In 2023, Dr. Rathod contributed to multiple research articles published in the Indian Journal of Technical Education (IJTE). One of the papers, “Gesture Recognition for Deaf and Dumb People”, co-authored with S. Bhowate, S. Ruikar, and A. Umbarkar, appeared in the special issue on pages 308–314. Another paper titled “AHP Based Techno-Economic Analysis of Energy Management of Radial Distribution Network using Optimal DG and Capacitor Placements and Sizing”, co-authored with S. S. Tanwar, G. P. Prajapat, and S. Sisodiya, was published in the same special issue on pages 82–90.
Rathod also contributed to the work “Hybrid VARMA-LSTM Approach for Forecasting Wind Power Density in Jaipur, Rajasthan”, in collaboration with S. Yadav, H. Kumar, and S. S. Tanwar, which was published in the same journal (pages 31–36). Additionally, the paper “Intelligent Artificial Control and Multilayer Inverter Based Improved Control of a Wind Power System based DFIG”, co-authored with S. S. Tanwar, G. P. Prajapat, and D. D. Kshirsagar, was included in the special issue on pages 37–43.
In 2024, Dr. A. J. Umbarkar co-authored the paper “MapReduce Teaching Learning Based Optimization Algorithm for Solving CEC-2013 LSGO Benchmark Testsuit” with P. M. Sheth, W. C. Hong, and S. M. Jagdeo. This work was published in Intelligent Systems with Applications, Volume 24, Article ID 200460, and has been cited 2 times.
In 2023, Dr. Umbarkar, in collaboration with S. R. A. K. and Manisha Dabade, published “Pneumonia Disease Detection in Chest X-rays using Deep Learning: A Survey” in The Indian Journal of Technical Education (IJTE), Volume 46 (Special Issue). That same year, he also co-authored “Gesture Recognition for Deaf and Dumb People” with Smith Bhowate, Ravindra Rathod, and Sachin Ruikar, also published in IJTE, Volume 46 (Special Issue).
Additionally, Dr. Umbarkar contributed to “Map-Reduce (Hadoop) Based Data Clustering for BigData: A Survey”, along with S. A. Jadhav, P. D. Sheth, and A. S. Sathe, which was presented at the 1st International Conference on Cognitive Computing and Engineering (IC3E) in 2023.
In 2024, Dr. S. S. Solapure co-authored the research paper titled “RPL-OFs Analysis and Dynamic of Selection for QoS Optimisation of RPL Protocol” along with H. H. Kenchannavar and U. P. Kulkarni. This paper was published in the International Journal of Wireless and Mobile Computing, Volume 27, Issue 1, pages 25–40, and has been cited once.
Student Achievements
Yash Kiran Patil from TY class actively participated in a technical event and secured the Third Rank in the “Agro Trek” competition, which was a part of Petrichor 25, the techno-cultural fest organized by IIT Palakkad.
Soham Adhyapak from B. tech class showcased his technical expertise by presenting a paper titled “SMART ASSISTANCE FOR LINUX BEGINNERS: A MULTI-MODEL CHATBOT APPROACH” at a paper presentation event hosted by CMR Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
Krunal Tejram Giradkar from B. tech class demonstrated innovation and initiative by participating in the Idea Validation Camp held on 16th January 2025 at Walchand College of Engineering, receiving recognition under the Project Award category.
