1) P. A. Kulkarni (1958) – Great Leader in Education , Former Principal
A renowned educator and administrator, P. A. Kulkarni served as the Principal of Walchand College of Engineering. His leadership and vision played a crucial role in shaping the institution’s growth and development.
2) Late Ramkumar Rathi (1964) – Infrastructure and Ral estate leader / Rathi Behre Builders.
A successful entrepreneur and builder, Late Ramkumar Rathi was the founder of Rathi Behre Builders. His contributions to the construction industry and his commitment to quality and excellence continue to inspire young engineers.
3) Late Subhash Awale (1971) – Educationist who founded 3 IITs, played role in AICTE formation and First VC of BATU.
A dedicated educationist, Late Subhash Awale made significant contributions to the field of education. His passion for teaching and learning continues to motivate students and educators alike.
4)Alhad Apte (1971) – Former Chief of Technical intelligence agency and advisor to PM
A seasoned technocrat, Alhad Apte has made significant contributions to the field of technology and innovation. He was Outstanding Scientist BARC, Former Chairman NTRO at BARC, NTRO have helped shape the country’s technology landscape.
5) Sadanand Joshi (1972) -Key figure in Petrochemicals and Founder of Joshi Technologies
A successful entrepreneur and technologist, Sadanand Joshi is the founder of Joshi Technologies. His innovative approach to technology and business has inspired many young entrepreneurs.
6) Pradeep Marathe (1978) – Man behind Brand Cottonking in Garments.
A renowned entrepreneur and industry leader, Pradeep Marathe is the founder of Cottonking. His contributions to the textile industry and his commitment to innovation and quality continue to inspire young entrepreneurs.
7) Leena Nair (1991) – One of top 10 Indian Origin Global CEOs for top MNCs
A global business leader, Leena Nair is a distinguished alumnus of Walchand College of Engineering. Leena Nair business executive who is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Chanel. Nair previously was the chief human resource officer of Unilever and member of the Unilever leadership executive. Nair was responsible for the human capital of Unilever, which operates across multiple regulatory and labour environments spread over 190 countries. Under her leadership, Unilever has been named the number one FMCG graduate employer of choice in 54 countries. Nair is an advocate for human-centered workplaces and compassionate leadership. Her leadership roles in various multinational corporations, including Chanel, have made her a role model for young women in business.
8) Abhijeet Pawar (1994) – Legacy of SAKAL / Seasoned Business leader
Abhijit Pawar is the Chairman of AP Globale (APG) and Managing Director of Sakal Media Group as well as the Founder and Chairman of the Delivering Change Foundation (DCF). Abhijit Pawar launched Agrowon, the first ever daily devoted to Agriculture in 2005. Agrowon is a 16-page tabloid published in Marathi.
10) Summit Shah – New Age Entrepreneur / Founder of Dukaan
Suumit Shah is the founder and CEO of Dukaan, a DIY platform that helps merchants and retailers set up their own e-commerce stores. Shah launched Dukaan in June 2020 with Subhash Choudhary, who is the co-founder and CTO of the company. Shah is an entrepreneur and product designer from Mumbai with an engineering degree. He previously worked at companies like McDonald’s, Cred, Housing.com, and TinyOwl. He also founded the companies Risemetric and Rankz.
