Students Activities

The department provides additional training to students, including certification programs, workshops, and seminars. The department engage students through various student development programs, including mentorship programs, internship programs, and startup incubation programs.

Lecture Arranged:

  1. Dr. V. P. Mohale organized guest lecture TY student on “Advances in transistor-based Bio sensors: Integrating Electronics with Biology” by Mr. R. G. Datar (research scholar at BITS Pilani Goa) on 09/09/2024.
  2. Webinar conducted on Drone Basics and Applications in Engineering on 4th April 2025, 4:30pm to 5:30pm by Mr. S.K. Parchandekar and Dr. S. S. Karvekar. Participants: T.Y. B.Tech Electrical Engineering, T.Y. B.Tech Electronics Engineering
  3. Dr. S. S. Karvekar arranged a one day workshop on Data Analytics using IoT with Arduino-ESP32 is scheduled on 26th March 2025 by Application Engineers from Designtech Systems Pvt. Ltd.  for all the students of TY B. Tech Electrical Engineering students. 

 

Industrial Visits:

  1. Dr. V. P. Mohale, Dr. R.P. Hasabe, Dr. S. S. Karvekar &; Mr. S. S. Medhekar organized Industrial Visit at 765/400/220 kV Power Grid Substation, Solapur for SY &; TY Electrical Engineering students on 18th October.
  2. Dr. V. P. Mohale, Dr. R. P. Hasabe, Mr. S. S. Medhekar, Mr. A, N. Inamdar, Mrs. A. A. Dhamangaonkar arranged Community Engagement Program at Tasgaon Date: 20th October 2024.
  3. Mr. V. S. Sathe & Mrs. D. R. Chavan arranged Industrial Visit is arranged for PG students to Siemens Goa. On 18th April 2025.

ESSA:

Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA) is a student organization pioneered in technical activities, founded by U. Gudaru. It is the first and foremost established club at WCE, Sangli. It is active since 1976, with the concept of the founder, guidance of staff advisor, an executive row of third year students with the guidance of final year students and

Full-fledged support of first year and second year students together enhances the power of EESA.

EESA conducts various activities throughout the year to help students in increasing their technical knowledge and soft skills. EESA helps students pursue their technical interests thereby increasing their engineering expertise along with imparting skills.

Since its inception, EESA is striving hard to meet its motto “To enhance technical comprehension, soft skills and managerial dexterity” of students pursuing electrical engineering in Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.

TECHNOCRAT is a state level technical symposium arranged by Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA). This event is organized each year with the focus to give students irrespective of their departments and colleges a biased platform to showcase their skills and a chance to share their ideas in such a state level summit. Events are designed in such a way that their technical knowledge will be helpful to apply this knowledge in practical life.

TECHNOCRAT has been surpassing its previous benchmarks in terms of no of participants participating in it along with the quality of events EESA delivering it. It facilitates sharing of knowledge and new technologies with different entrepreneurs, professors, researchers, and students. This facilitates to improve the competitive spirit of students and helps them to develop with the constantly moving world. This is the sole purpose of organizing TECHNOCRAT.
