The Electrical Engineering Department implements several innovative and student-centric practices to ensure a well-rounded academic experience. These include:

  • Integration of interdisciplinary courses (e.g., Electric Vehicle Technology).

Comprehensive Mentorship Program

  • Each student is assigned a faculty mentor to provide personalized guidance in academics, career planning, and personal development.
  • Regular mentorship meetings ensure continuous tracking of student progress and timely intervention for challenges.
  • 1:20 ratio is maintained while assigning faculty to each student batch.

Class Advisors (Teachers)

  • Every class has a designated class teacher who monitors academic performance, attendance, and overall well-being.
  • Class Teachers collaborate with students to set academic and career goals while ensuring compliance with institutional requirements.

  • Mini Project and mega project guides are assigned to each group to evaluate student progress.

Industry Visits and Internships

  • Regular industrial visits to top Electrical companies, Power Distribution Companies, start-ups, and research centres provide students with practical exposure to organizational workflows and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Internship opportunities during semester breaks enable students to gain hands-on experience in real-world projects and applications.
  • In A.Y.2023-24 & 2024-25 TY and B. Tech. students visited Hydro Power Stations, Transmission & Distribution Substations to gain knowledge about automated industry and real time solutions.

Seminars, Workshops, and Technical Events

  • Regular departmental seminars and guest lectures by industry professionals and academic experts on emerging trends like Smart Grid, Electric Vehicle, Energy storage systems and Sustainable Engineering.

  • Continuous Evaluation is done for laboratory courses by taking Laboratory Assessment 1 and 2(30 Marks) End Semester Examination (40 Mark)
  • Continuous Evaluation for the theory courses are taken in the form of In semester evaluation 1 and 2 (20 Mark) Mid Semester Evaluation (30 Mark) End Semester Evaluation(50 Mark)
  • In semester evaluation taken in the form of Oral, Quiz, Presentation, MCQ etc.
