Students Activities

The department has a range of student activities, including coding clubs, robotics clubs, and hackathons.The department provides additional training to students, including certification programs, workshops, and seminars. The department engage stundents through various student development programs, including mentorship programs, internship programs, and startup incubation programs. Some of activities are –

Hackathon

The objectives of the hackathon were: To get entries from all over India and with the assurance that at least 4-5 teams from outside Maharashtra for the onsite Hackathon

To have at least 4-5 startups from the teams participating for the Onsite Hackathon.
At least 3-5 patent filing from the teams participating Onsite Hackathon.
To get a transition from University to Industrial Hackathon.

WCE MLSC (Microsoft Learn Student’s Club) has arranged an Azure Workshop on 28th and 29th September 2024 .There are 106 participants enrolled for this event.

Intra Club Presentation – Microsoft tools Date : 4th and 5th December The event aimed to enhance communication skills, foster team spirit among board members, and deepen their knowledge of utilizing these tools effectively.

Vidnyan Parishad arranged Shanivari Vidnyanvari event for S.Y. BTech students under the Community Engagement Program in 2024.Under this event our students visited nearby schools and taught them various science related experiments.

Our department has offered various NPTEL courses for students. These courses are very helpful for students to achieve certificates. Total NPTEL courses fees have been paid by college. Department provides a facility of Virtual Labs for students’ skill improvement in collaboration with IITB. Students are also offered value added courses,other than the regular credits

Internship Programs

In 2023-24 academic year our 59 Final Year B.Tech students got internships in various companies such as Siemens Industry software pvt.ltd , NICE System, TCS Research and innovations,Druva data solutions,Mortgage Kart Ltd. etc.
Some students will be provided an in house research internship in summer or winter vacation period.

Mentor-Mentee Program

Department has prepared a Mentor-Mentee program. Each mentor has 20 students in their group. Monthly mentor-mentee meetings are conducted for review of one month’s progress and resolution of any problems faced by students.
