The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) follows a systematic, structured, and outcome-based approach to curriculum design and development, ensuring alignment with the Vision and Mission of the institution and department. The curriculum is designed to meet the academic, research, industry, and societal needs in alignment with AICTE, National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and NBA’s Outcome-Based Education (OBE) guidelines.

Curriculum Design and Development

  • Outcome-Based Curriculum Structure :All courses have clearly defined Course Outcomes (COs) aligned to Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs).
  • AI/ML-Centric Program Core structure includes foundational AI, ML, Deep Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Ethics in AI.
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation Focus: Courses and workshops in entrepreneurship, product design, startup incubation, and innovation practices.

Research and Innovation Initiatives

  • Establishing research groups for emerging fields like Robotics, Machine Learning, andSustainable Engineering.
  • Collaboration with industry for funded research projects and internships.
  • Organizing hackathons, ideathon contests, and innovation challenges.

Laboratory and Infrastructure Development

To be an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme provide quality education, impart collaborative research and develop graduates for industry and society.

Mission

  • Upgrading labs with advanced tools like Deep learning server, Apple lab set up with IOS software.
  • Setting up centers of excellence for specialized fields like Robotics, Machine Learning.
  • Promoting virtual labs and remote experimentation for online learners.

Comprehensive Mentorship Program

  • Each student is assigned a faculty mentor to provide personalized guidance in academics,career planning, and personal development.
  • Regular mentorship meetings ensure continuous tracking of student progress and timely intervention for challenges.
  • 1:20 ratio is maintained while assigning faculty to each student batch.

  • Every class has a designated class teacher who monitors academic performance, attendance, and overall well-being.
  • Class Teachers collaborate with students to set academic and career goals while ensuring compliance with institutional requirements.

  • Continuous Evaluation is done for laboratory courses by taking Laboratory Assessment 1 and 2(30 Marks) End Semester Examination (40 Mark)
  • Continuous Evaluation for the theory courses are taken in the form of In semester evaluation 1 and 2 (20 Mark) Mid Semester Evaluation (30 Mark) End Semester Evaluation(50 Mark)
  • In semester evaluation taken in the form of Oral,Quiz,Presentation,MCQ etc.
