PhD Program in Engineering and Technology

Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) is recognised research centre for a PhD program of Shivaji University, in various disciplines of engineering and technology. The program is designed to provide advanced research training to students and prepare them for careers in research, academia, and industry.

Program Duration

The PhD program at WCE is a full-time program with a minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum duration of 6 years. Further, it It can be extended to 5 years.

Eligibility

To be eligible for admission to the PhD program at WCE, candidates must have:

A Master’s degree in engineering or technology with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a minimum of 75% marks or equivalent CGPA and a valid GATE score
A Master’s degree in sciences or humanities with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA and a valid GATE/NET score

Via AICTE – QIP (Quality Improvement Program): WCE offers admission to PhD programs under the QIP scheme for faculty members of AICTE-approved institutions
Via AICTE- National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) Programme

Fees

The fees for the PhD program at WCE are as follows:

Tuition fees: ₹25,000 per semester
Examination fees: ₹5,000 per semester
