Sakal Research Fund (SRF)

Mr Abhijeet Pawar , alumnus of WCE, has given a generous donation to Walchand College of Engineering for promoting culture of application-oriented Research and Entrepreneurship. MoU is signed between the Sajal media group and WCE.

Objectives are

to motivate and support R&D IPR generation and entrepreneurship amongst WCE students
to support application-oriented Engineering projects of students
to support financially to take up external industry project work
to file patents
to collaborate and jointly with global / national agencies
to support student projects and many technical development activities

As per the audited balance sheet of SAKAL-WCE Research Fund for the financial year 2023-24, the total funds balance is Rs. 158.54 lakh.

Through Sakal Funds Incubation set facility is created , support for section 8 is being done, support to student projects /patents is being done.
