Research and Development Cell acts as nodal agency for all research polices and execution and also facilitation of research.

The R&D Cell is responsible for assisting the Academic Council in the performance of the Council’s responsibilities in respect of the establishment and promotion of excellence in the Institute’s research and development, and academic and research training activities. This includes the development, review and monitoring of achievements under the Research & Development,

The Research & Development (R&D) cell serves as the nucleus of innovation, inquiry, and development within our institution. R&D cell acts as nodal agency for all research policies and execution. Established with the vision of fostering a culture of research excellence, the R&D cell aims to encourage faculty, students, researchers and collaborators (industry/academic institutions) to engage in meaningful research that addresses real-world challenges. R&D cell’s mission is to promote interdisciplinary research, facilitate funding opportunities, and support the publication and commercialization of innovative ideas. The R&D cell acts as a bridge between academic knowledge and industry needs, ensuring our research is both relevant and impactful.

Broader key areas of the R&D cell are:

  • Identifying and promoting research opportunities.
  • Collaborating with industry and academic institutions.
  • Supporting funded projects and research proposals.
  • Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Assisting in patent filing and intellectual property rights (IPR).

By creating an environment conducive to exploration and experimentation, the R&D cell plays a crucial role in shaping future-ready professionals and contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and society.

Key areas of activities of the R&D cell are:

       The establishment of research and development priorities, and monitoring the quality and quantity of research and development work.

       To improve quality of research, patents, publications, R&D, innovations culture,

       Policies for key areas of activities, creation of ambiance.

       Focus on faculty contribution in R&D, consultancies

       Increasing IPRs from faculty / students.

       To foster the development of multi-disciplinary research endeavors across faculties and departments.

       The protection and commercialization of the IPRs.

       Coordination for getting funds from government departments, industry for R&D projects

       Monitor the application of research funds to ensure that the funds are properly utilized.

       Promote emerging areas of research and development.

  Ensure all facility and expertise is being used for Consultancy and Development

       Improvement in faculty contribution in view of NBA similar parameters and NIRF parameters.

       Increase in professional practices by institution and faculty.

       Consultancy and utilization of human and lab resources

   To formulate incentive schemes for promoting research activities with faculty / students / scholars.

   PG program research focus for projects/dissertation and its quality improvements

       PhD programmes and its policies

       Conferences organization and journals publication

       Quality paper publications

       Joint collaborative work enhancement

       Code of Research Ethics for the responsible practice of research.

    International/National collaboration with Universities/Corporate/Industries by MOUs

       Establishment of Centre of Excellence (COE) in technology domains

       Utilization of Journals and Magazines

       Ph.D. program monitoring
